Alerts
You hear about it before it becomes a problem. Speeding, harsh driving, leaving a zone, a suspicious ignition: set the rules and get the alert.
- Speeding and aggressive driving
- Ignition and movement outside working hours
- Email, SMS and WhatsApp notifications
- Custom thresholds for each vehicle

What do fleet alerts monitor?
Tracky alerts notify the fleet manager the moment something happens on a vehicle, instead of finding out in a report at the end of the month. The rules cover speeding, harsh driving (hard braking and sharp acceleration), ignition or movement outside working hours, zone entries and exits, and abnormal fuel drops. Each rule is set with its own thresholds, vehicle by vehicle. The alert arrives by email, text message or WhatsApp, with the vehicle, the time and the position. The manager can act while the event is still happening: call the driver, check a suspicious stop, send someone on site.
Why monitor how drivers drive?
Because it costs money, in fuel and in wear. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, aggressive driving raises fuel consumption by 10 to 40% in stop-and-go traffic, and ADEME estimates that eco-driving can cut it by up to 15%. Speeding and hard braking also wear out brakes and tires faster. Each alert gives you a dated fact, so you can talk to the driver about numbers rather than impressions.
How do you avoid drowning in alerts?
By setting realistic thresholds and choosing who gets what. An oversensitive speed alert sent to everyone ends up ignored. It is better to start with the events that need immediate action, such as ignition at night or a fuel drop with the engine off, and push the rest into the weekly reports. The Tracky team helps you set these thresholds during onboarding training.
Questions about Alerts
How are alerts delivered?
By email, text message and WhatsApp, as you choose, as well as in the web platform and the mobile app. Each alert shows the vehicle, the time and the position.
Can thresholds be set differently for each vehicle?
Yes. Thresholds are customized vehicle by vehicle: a truck on the highway and a van in town do not have the same speed limits or the same working hours.
Which events can trigger an alert?
Speeding, harsh driving, ignition or movement outside working hours, zone entries and exits, abnormal fuel drops and, for refrigerated trucks, a temperature threshold being crossed.
